I was a professional rugby player for ten years, playing over 200 first class club games for Northampton Saints, Newcastle Falcons and Connacht. I also played rugby for England and was part of Clive Woodward's 2003 Grand Slam winning team. Prior to my rugby career I competed in athletics, representing England and Great Britain. Over the last 20+ years I have worked and trained in elite environments with some of the best athletes and coaches in the world.
I believe in a holistic approach to training clients and athletes. Rest, recovery, sleep and nutrition all play an incredibly important role in reaching your goals. Training alone will not bring success and this is where many programs fail. I understand that most people have busy lives and trying to fit training around work, family and our social lives can seem daunting. That's where I can help. I will be there to support, encourage and motivate you to achieve the best possible results in a fun and positive environment.
Experience. I have been training, competing and coaching in sport for over 25 years. Whether you are a serious athlete or completely new to training I would love to help you to achieve your goals. I am passionate about training and the positive effect it has on people's lives, I especially enjoy working with people who are new to fitness or a bit apprehensive about going to the gym. To see them become happier and more confident in themselves is the best part of my job.
I am a fully qualified and insured level 3 personal trainer.
With the exception of those who are training for a specific event or sport, most people come to me for wanting to improve their body composition and overall fitness. I am a personal trainer who believes in keeping training sessions simple, varied, fun and most importantly effective! I don't use gimmicks, only tried and tested methods that get results. Everyone is different and every clients training is tailored specifically for them. Consistent steady progress is the key to achieving long term sustainable results.
